17-year-old and 21-year-old remanded for murder of drunk handyman

Two youths, ages 21 and 17, were charged and remanded to jail today for the murder of handyman, Wafad Wahab at New Road Vreed-en-hoop on the 29th April.

The 21-year-old’s name was given as Ronaldo Warnauth of Phoenix, while the name of the 17-year-old was not released since he is still a juvenile.

The two young men were not required to enter a plea to the murder charge and were remanded. They will make their next Court appearance on the 29th May.

The handyman who was intoxicated at the time, was on his way home when he was attacked and stabbed by the two men. A Police report said he was stabbed multiple times to the body and was left to die on the roadway.

A motive for the crime remains unknown.
