The Coronavirus death toll in Guyana inched up by 1 over the weekend taking the total number of deaths to 155 following the passing of a 79-year-old REGION FOUR MAN.
According to the Ministry of Health, the man was a patient at one of the health institutions.
The country also recorded 41 new cases yesterday. The total number of active cases now stands at 686 with 6 of those persons in the coronavirus intensive care unit. More than 600 of the active cases are in home isolation.
Since the start of the pandemic in Guyana, 5920 cases have been recorded, with the majority of those cases being men.
