The Guyana Police Force on Friday evening reported that a 52-year old Bartica woman died while receiving medical attention at the Bartica Hospital after reportedly being struck by lightning.

The dead woman has been identified as 52-year-old Elizabeth Henry of 4 Miles, Bartica.

She was rushed to the Bartica Hospital just after 2:30pm on Friday. She reportedly never regained consciousness and died while doctors were tending to her.
