Hours after the Police on Friday night issued a wanted bulletin for the God brother of the missing British teen and another man, the God brother Aaron Hing, was found hiding out in a Georgetown hotel.

According to police sources, investigators got a tip off that the man was spotted checking in to the hotel late Friday afternoon just after reports began to surface about the discovery of a body in a shallow grave in the same area where the British teen was expected to stay.

Hing, who is also a British citizen, allegedly tried to out maneuver the Police when they arrived at the hotel, but he was cornered and arrested and taken to CID headquarters for questioning.

Up to late last night, he was still being grilled about the teen’s disappearance.  The other wanted man, Staymon George, is still on the run.

Although, the body that was discovered in the shallow grave is in a decomposed state, investigators are convinced that it is the body of the missing teen. However, they intend to have DNA tests carried out to be absolutely sure.

News Source understands that investigators moved into the area in Berbice after receiving an anonymous call that the teen had been killed and his body buried in a shallow grave.

The police investigators were reportedly provided with directions to the area by the anonymous caller, who reportedly also told Police that the teen had been murdered and buried by the God brother with help from someone else.

British teen, Dominic Bernard

The British teen, Dominic Bernard, arrived in Guyana on October 14 on a Caribbean Airlines flight and cleared immigration and customs at the Cheddi Jagan Airport. He gave his God brother’s address as his place of stay in Guyana.

However, his parents became worried about his whereabouts in December after they had not heard from his since he left England in October. It was then that they were told by the God brother that he had not seen the teen and was not even aware of his travel to Guyana.

The God brother related the same story initially to investigators but went missing as the Police widened their probe. His arrest is being seen as a major breakthrough in the case.

The investigations are ongoing.
