Fighting back tears, the father of the missing British teenager called a press conference in Georgetown this afternoon, moments before he headed back to London, to make a final plea for information about the whereabouts of his son, Dominic Bernard.

The father, Andrew Bernard said his son traveled to Guyana on October 14, 2015 but has not made contact with friends or family since.

The older Bernard said the safety of his son and the strength of the investigation is of paramount importance. He traveled to Guyana a few days ago after realizing his son never met the God brother that he had intended to stay with.

The God brother has since indicated that he was not even aware that the teen had travelled to Guyana and should have been staying with him.

The father said he needs all the help right now in locating his son.

“I urge anyone who flew on the flight, sat with my son or spoke to him to contact me, If you have heard from him, seen him board a taxi or seen him in Georgetown, please contact me”, he pleaded.

 The teen lived with his parents in England and his father explained he does not know of any reason that would indicate that his son was running away from home.

He said Guyana’s Crime Chief and the Authorities in England have been very helpful, but saw the public appeal as necessary to aid the investigations.

“I still need the public’s help,” the sobbing father lamented.

The missing Dominic Bernard is six feet tall and of medium built. He was wearing a blue jeans and white T- Shirt along with white Nike sneakers when he was last seen.

The British teen’s arrival at Cheddi Jagan Airport back in October was confirmed. His family only realized he was missing last month when he had not returned to England.
