God brother and other man wanted in connection with missing British teen case

The Guyana Police Force on Friday night issued wanted bulletins for two men in connection with the disappearance of British teenager, Dominic Bernard.

One of the men now wanted for questioning is the God brother of the missing teen. His name is Aaron Hing and he is also a British citizen who lived in Guyana.

It was Hing who initially told investigators that he was unaware that the teen had traveled to Guyana and had expected to stay with him. He claimed that he never saw the youth. Hing is the God son of Dominic Bernard’s father.

According to the Police bulletin, Aaron Hing is of mixed race and is 22 years old. His last known address is Lot 19, Kildonan Village, Corentyne, Berbice.  It was that same address that the missing teen used as his place of stay on his immigration and customs forms when he arrived in Guyana back in October.

The other wanted man is 24-year-old, Staymon George of Charles Street, Charlestown, Georgetown and Kildonan Village, Corentyne, Berbice.

George is believed to be a close friend of Hing.

Missing British teen – Dominic Bernard

The two young men have not been seen since Police stepped up their investigations into the whereabouts of the British teen earlier this week, when his parents flew in from London to file an official report.

Although, the teen left his home in England for a visit to Guyana in October, it was not until late December and early January that his family raised an alarm after the God brother reported to them that the teen was not staying with him and he had no knowledge of his presence in Guyana.

It was the teen’s first visit to Guyana and all airport records confirm his arrival in the country.

The wanted bulletin for the two men came just hours after the Police Force announced that it had discovered the decomposed body of a man in a shallow grave in a Berbice village close to the one where the youth was expected to stay.

The identity of the body is yet to be confirmed because of the decomposed state, however, investigators suspect that it may be the remains of the missing teen since they have no reports of anyone else being missing in the area.

Anyone with information that may lead to the arrest of Staymon George and Aaron Wilfred Hing are asked to contact the police on telephone numbers 225-6411, 333-2191, 333-2151, 226-1326, 225-7625, 911, or the nearest police station.
