36-year-old founder and owner of GoLocal Guyana, Quincy Roache was remanded to jail today after the charge of murder was read to him at the Sparendaam Magistrates’ Court.

The businessman was not required to enter a plea to the charge that he murdered his reputed wife Tacinda Dazell last Friday at their East Coast Demerara home.

Roache has been remanded until his next Court date which will be on the 14th October.

The man turned himself into Police investigators last Friday night, hours after his reputed wife’s body was found on the bridge leading to the house with multiple stab wounds.

The woman had ended the relationship and was preparing to move from their East Coast home when she was attacked and knifed to death.

The accused was seen leaving the scene of the crime as the woman’s body was left on the bridge. She was taken to a hospital where she was pronounced dead and he surrendered to the Police just after.

A post-mortem examination revealed that Tacinda Dazell was stabbed 16 times to her body, with multiple stab wounds to the chest.

The murder has rattled relatives of the couple. Days before being murdered, the 28-year-old woman had complained to a relative about the man’s behavior towards her and the constant threats and abuse.

She had also called off the wedding plans that the two were making.
