Popular television station owner and host, Chandra Narine Sharma is a patient at the COVID-19 Hospital at Lilliendaal after becoming infected with the virus.
The 73-year-old founder of the Justice for All Party is fully vaccinated, according to his wife Savitree Singh. Speaking briefly with News Source, she explained that he is in a stable condition and not critically ill.
Ms. Singh said he was diagnosed with the virus over a week ago and was recovering at home. She however noted that over the past few days, it was recognised that he was having some difficulty breathing and a decision was made to have him admitted to the hospital to receive oxygen.
The wife said she has been in contact with him and his doctors and she is confident that he will make a full recovery.
In the past few years, CN Sharma has scaled back his public appearances and tv hosting duties because of health complications.
