Prominent Linden couple die two weeks apart from COVID-19 complications

Prominent Linden businessman Hilton Lyle and his wife June Lyle are among the latest persons to die from COVID-19 complications. They both had underlying conditions.

The wife, 60-year-old June Lyle passed away on the 17th of November as she was recovering from COVID-19 at the Infectious Diseases Hospital at Lillendaal. She was being transitioned out of the facility after testing negative, but she died from suspected pneumonia caused by the virus.

The same day that the wife passed away, the husband was rushed to the same facility from Linden after he started to encounter breathing problems and tested positive for COVID-19.

Mr. Lyle died at the Ocean View facility this past weekend without fully regaining consciousness. He was 64-years-old.

Tributes have been pouring in on social media for the couple.

The couple is survived by their son, Hilton Lyle Jr. who manages the family’s popular Tropical Reflections Restaurant in the town of Linden.
