The two brothers were rushed to the Port Mourant Public Hospital, where the older one, Kunal Singh was treated and sent away, while the younger brother was transferred to the New Amsterdam Public Hospital where he died this morning while receiving treatment.

Police investigators in Berbice have arrested a 44-year-old man who attacked and stabbed two brothers during an early morning brawl, resulting in the death of one of the brothers.

According to the Police, the knife which was used as the murder weapon has since been found as a case is being made out against the suspect.

Investigations have so far revealed that about 2:20 this morning, 19-year-old, Vishram Mohabir, of Williamsburg, Corentyne witnessed the suspect who was armed with a knife wounding his 30-year-old brother, Kunal Singh and decided to intervene.

The suspect stabbed Kunal Singh twice to his neck and left and right sides of his abdomen before also slashing the younger brother.

Investigations are continuing, according to the Police.
