Elderly woman found strangled to death in Linden

Police Investigators were on Saturday called to the Amelia’s Ward, Linden home of an elderly woman who was found strangled to death.

Sources close to the investigations said the woman who has been identified as 76-year-old Yvonne Adams, was found with an electrical cord wrapped around her neck.

According to reports, Adams who lived alone had not been seen on Friday and when persons living nearby decided to check on her on Saturday midday, they discovered her partly decomposed body.

Investigators reportedly have found several signs of a break in at the woman’s home and there are also reports that marks of violence were found on her body in addition to the marks around her neck from the electrical cord.

The investigations are ongoing.

On Wednesday, police in Georgetown found the lifeless body of a 75-year-old woman in her North Ruimveldt home. She also lived alone and was also strangled to death.
