Fly Jamaica Airways has added some more features to warmly welcome its passengers to Georgetown on all flights leading up to the May 26th Independence Anniversary.
On Friday, passengers who arrived from Toronto, Canada were immediately treated to a warm Guyanese welcome by the airline’s ground staff.
The more than 240 passengers were greeted at Cheddi Jagan International Airport’s arrival lounge with a taste of Guyanese cuisine. Cassava pone, Mauby and cake along with miniature flags of Guyana and other ornaments were distributed to passengers.
Other passengers who had arrived on two other flights shortly were not left out of the welcome activity in the well decorated arrival area before clearing immigration and customs.
Friday’s flight was the first to enjoy this welcome and Fly Jamaica intends to continue offering other delicacies along with music.
Guyana is celebrating 50 years of Independence and several corporate companies are on board with the government to ensure that Guyana is put on show in all ways possible. The Airline currently operates a scheduled service to New York, Toronto, Canada and Kingston Jamaica.
