Jamaican registered airline, Fly Jamaica will launch its once weekly Toronto service on Tuesday, 17th November. The flight will arrive in Guyana on Tuesday evening. The Georgetown to Toronto leg of the trip departs the Cheddi Jagan Airport on Wednesday morning.
Sales Manager at Fly Jamaica, Junior Horatio said the airline will continue to operate its three flights per week between the Guyana and New York market. No additional flights are being added for the holiday season and the New York flights are all filled, according to airline officials.
The other airlines plying the Georgetown/New York route have also announced no additional flights for the season as they try to remain on schedule with the flights already in place.
Fly Jamaica launched its Georgetown/New York service via Kingston Jamaica in September. The Georgetown/Toronto flights will all non stop flights.
The airline is owned by Guyanese Pilot Ronald Reece and a group of investors from Jamaica. Captain Reece has promised that the airline will be a key air bridge from Guyana as it works to bring better quality service and prices in the airline industry.
