Former Miss Guyana reported missing in the United States

Former Miss Guyana World, who is also a former Miss Guyana Universe Ruqayyah Boyer has gone missing in the United States.

The 33-year-old woman, according to a missing person’s bulletin, was last seen on the 16th February at the Chicago Union Station in Chicago, Illinois.

Relatives of the model and former beauty queen are concerned about her mental state. She reportedly spent several weeks in a US mental health facility after being admitted by a Court.

Boyer’s sister, Marisela Simon is asking that anyone in the Chicago area to be on the look out for her.

She explained that Boyer was recently released from a hospital in Washington DC and reportedly made her way to Virginia and before relatives could reach her, she left Virgina for Chicago.

The sister said the family has been trying its best to locate her and get her the help she needs, but they have been facing some difficulties in their efforts to locate her, since she would move around from state to state.

Boyer left Guyana over two years ago.

Over a year ago, many of her friends expressed concern about her well-being after she made a number of “out of character” posts on social media.

Family members are hoping that anyone who would have information about her whereabouts would contact telephone number 347-600-5810.

Boyer, who also worked previously as a radio and television broadcaster, is originally from Linden.
