Husband arrested for murder of Crane woman

The husband of murdered high school teacher Omega Ault has been arrested in connection with the crime.

The murder suspect, Clarence Farley who was wanted by the Police for questioning in connection with his wife’s murder, was arrested last evening at a Hotel in Corriverton, Berbice.

His arrest came one day after his wife’s body was laid to rest.

The partly decomposed body of the 39-year-old teacher was found in her Crane, West Coast Demerara home last Friday.

A post-mortem examination revealed that she died from blunt trauma to the head and bleeding of the brain.  Investigators believe she was beaten to death.

The husband’s car was found abandoned at Coverden on the East Bank of Demerara earlier this week.

Police said his arrest last evening was a result of investigators receiving a tip about his whereabouts.
