Police  at Linden have moved into the Upper Demerara area of Frenchman to investigate the worksite murder of a 41 year old miner who lives in Wismar Linden.

The dead man has been identified as Seibert Moore of Victory Valley Wismar. He was stabbed to death in a mining pit at the worksite of the Empire Mining Company on Friday afternoon during an argument with a workmate.

News Source understands that the two men got into an argument while working in the pit and the confrontation became heated. The other miner whipped out a knife and stabbed Moore to his chest and stomach area.

He was rushed to the Mackenzie Hospital where doctors pronounced him dead. The assailant was apprehended by a group of workmates and handed over to the police. Investigations are ongoing.
