The Guyana Police Force has announced that another prisoner who escaped from the Lusignan Prison early Monday morning, has been arrested.
The man has been identified as Kendell Skeete. He was found in the mining town of Linden, hiding out in an abandoned house in the Wisroc area.
Skeete was one of thirteen prisoners who dug their way out of the Lusignan Prison compound. He is the eight prisoner from that group of thirteen to be recaptured.
News Source understands that residents noticed the man in the house and alerted Police in the area. He was arrested without incident and moves are now being made to have him transferred to Georgetown.
He was arrested back in 2015 for the 2008 murder of a Goed Fortuin man. He had been on the run for seven years before being nabbed.
Police investigators continue to seek the public’s help in locating the other prison escapees. Information has been flowing in from residents across the country and they are being encouraged to alert law enforcement if they spot any of the escapees.
Family and friends of the fugitives are also being warned that they could face the Courts and possible jail time if they are found harbouring any of the escapees.
