Police investigators are continuing their probe into the shooting death of a man in the East Ruimveldt area early Sunday morning.
The dead man has been identified as 49-year-old Dexter Lynch of Madewini, Soesdyke-Linden Highway.
Lynch was found lying along the roadway early yesterday morning, moments after residents reported hearing loud gunshots.
A suspected gunshot wound was on the left side of his abdomen.
The body was clad in black ¾ pants and a multi-colored shirt with a blue hooded long sleeve sweater.
His hair was in a dreadlocked style.
A number of persons in the area were interviewed by investigators who intend to review CCTV camera footage from close to the scene.
Investigators said they also found a black and red haversack with two colognes, two bottles of liquor, two knives, and just over $18,000 near the man’s body.
