The discovery of the AK47 and M70 rifles took place last week at Lot 1, Meeten-Meer-Zorg, where Small operates a small restaurant. The weapons were found by Police ranks during a search of the property following a tip off.

Meeten-Meer-Zorg Businessman remanded over high powered weapons

The West Coast Demerara restaurant owner, Christopher Small, who was last week held after high powered assault rifles were found at his property, has been charged and remanded to prison for illegal gun and ammunition possession.

He appeared on Tuesday at the Leonora Magistrates’ Court and was not required to enter a plea to the indictable charges.

He was immediately remanded to prison.

The two weapons were found wrapped up and stashed under stove in the kitchen.  The 33 year old Christopher Small was immediately arrested.
