Pieces of evidence from the Mobil gas station bombing have been sent to India for forensic tests and the results should be available within the next two weeks.
The revelation was made in Court earlier this week by Police Prosecutor, Mandel Moore.
Moore made the announcement while addressing the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court on the issue of disclosures in the case.
He told the Acting Chief Magistrate Faith McGusty that crime scene investigators unearthed several pieces of evidence from the scene and from the samples taken, two pieces of evidence were sent to India for the forensic analysis.
He said the results of the forensic analysis will also be part of his disclosures and as such requested additional time to present the additional evidence to the Court. According to him, the results are expected to be available before December 16 when the case would be called again.
The bombing claimed the life of a six year old girl. A total of seven persons have been charged for terrorism in connection with the incident.
