Remains of missing Guyanese accountant in TT found

Almost six weeks since he was reported missing, Police in Trinidad and Tobago have found the remains of Guyanese accountant Reagan Reece. His family members confirmed the identity of the body this afternoon.

Reece lived and worked in Trinidad and Tobago. The remains were found on Sunday in a grave in the community of Arouca, which is located close to the Piarco Airport.

According to media reports in Trinidad, the discovery was made after Police investigators acted on a tip.

The Trinidad Express newspapers reported that the remains were found in a grave close to a shack, and was covered with wooden boards.

The body was found wrapped in plastic and investigators recognised a tattoo on the chest area of the body

The 45-year-old man, Reagan Reece, was last seen alive driving his Hyundai car on the afternoon of June 6, 2023.

Police believe he was hijacked and later murdered. There have been reports of his car being spotted in various parts of the country. Investigations are ongoing.
