A total of six new Judges and Five Land Court Judges are expected to be appointed soon, having gained the approval of the Judicial Service Commission.
News Source understands that at least two current Magistrates are among the new Judges who have received appointment offers after their successful application. The other persons to be appointed include a senior official of the Court Registry and another senior official of the Deeds Registry.
Meanwhile, two Magistrates are also among the five persons to be appointed as Land Court Judges.
The Judicial Service Commission is expected to announce the appointments in the coming days, with the swearing in of the new Judges likely to follow just after.
The Judicial Service Commission has been moving to fill a number of vacancies in the Court system. With the appointments to be made, a number of vacancies will be created in the Magistracy, and that comes as a time when new Courts are being opened in various parts of the country.
