The Special Organised Crime Unit of the Guyana Police Force has issued wanted bulletins for eight persons as part of a money laundering and financial crimes probe.
SOCU is tightlipped about the details of the investigations, but is asking anyone who knows the whereabouts of the eight persons to make contact with SOCU or the nearest Police stations.
Those wanted are 34-year-old Raul James of Kara Kara, 25-year-old Khadijah Long of Wisroc Housing Scheme, 27-year-old Akeem Powers of Victory Valley, 38-year-old Melicia Williams of Kara Kara Housing Scheme, 26-year-old Cassandra McLennan of Kara Kara Housing Scheme, Leon Williams, who is 38-years-old and also hails from Kara Kara Housing Scheme, 25-year-old Aubrey Fraser of Kara Kara Housing Scheme and 25-year-old Denzil Muir from Mocha Arcadia.
SOCU has not provided any information about the date or timelime of the alleged offenses, but wants persons with information about the eight to call SOCU on telephone numbers 225-3079 or 225-3084.
The Public Relations Officer of the Guyana Police Force, Mark Ramotar explained that SOCU investigations are confidential, hence the decision to not provide additional information on the wanted persons or the alleged offences.
