Three persons lost their lives tragically in an accident along the new Wisroc Public Road in Linden late last night. Well known Spiritual Leader, Andrew Irving, has been confirmed as one the three persons who died.
The other two persons have been identified as the driver of the car, Marcus Berley, and one of the other passengers, Maureen Woodley.
The accident occurred just after 10 o’clock last night and all three persons who lost their lives were in the same car.
According to reports out of Linden, the car was being driven along the newly built Wisroc Public Road at a fast rate and an attempt by the driver to overtake a container truck at the side of the roadway ended tragically as he slammed into the back of the truck while avoiding traffic that was approaching in the opposite direction.
The driver and his two passengers, Spiritual Leader Andrew Irving who was seated in the front and the woman who was seated in the back of the car, all died on the spot.
The driver and the porter of the truck were detained by the Police for questioning as there were reports that the truck’s trailer had a lighting problem and it had been pulled to the side of the roadway to have that fixed.
Investigations are ongoing.
