Wanted Bulletin issued for Ramada Princess General Manager; Turkey seeking his extradition

The Guyana Police Force this morning issued a wanted bulletin for the General Manager of the Ramada Princess Hotel, Turkish national Ugur Turetgen.

According to the bulletin, Turetgen is wanted for fraud and immigration violations.

While the Guyana Police Force did not offer details of the alleged crimes, News Source understands that the fraud charge is related to alleged activities carried out by Turetgen in his homeland of Turkey.

News Source has learnt that the Turkish Government has written to the authorities in Guyana seeking the extradition of Mr. Turetgen to face criminal charges back home.

Sources close to the Guyana Police Force have indicated to News Source that a request for the extradition is already with the Director of Public Prosecutions and the issue is being pursued.

The Guyana Police Force is asking for anyone with information about the whereabouts of the Ramada Princess General Manager to call 911 or file a report with the closest Police station.
