An East Bank Essequibo woman is in custody and will face charges this week after she stabbed a 43-year-old man to death during an argument.
According to the Police the woman and the man became involved in the argument after he converted for his personal use, $1000 that she had given to him to buy a meal for her.
The argument escalated and the woman reportedly stabbed the man to his chest. He was rushed to the hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival. The incident took place on Saturday evening at the Parika stelling.
The dead man has been identified as 43-year-old Percival Williams of Hague on the West Coast of Demerara. The woman’s identity has not been released by the police.
