Young Banker dies in early morning crash

A 31-year-old man, who worked as a banker at city commercial bank, died in an early morning accident along the railway embankment at Felicity on the East Coast of Demerara.

The body of David Headly was pulled from his mangled motor car that had crashed into the bridge along the embankment road. He was taken to the hospital in an unconscious state and pronounced dead on arrival.

According to a Police statement, he sustained several injuries about his body and was the only person in the car at the time of the crash.

Investigators said Headly, who lived in South Ruimveldt, was driving west along the southern carriageway of the road when the car slammed into the bridge rail.
