Three men were charged and remanded to jail today over the attempted robbery of a Tuschen man. Additionally, they were charged with the illegal possession of a firearm and ammunition.

The three men, 22-year-old Yohance Carroll, 23-year-old Earl Grant and 23-year-old Adrian Greenidge appeared in Court this morning to face the joint charge of attempt to commit a felony, robbery under arms.

Additionally, Greenidge and Grant were individually charged with Possession of Firearm and Ammunition Without a Licence.

All three accused appeared at the Leonora Magistrate’s Court where the charges were read to them.

They were not required to enter a plea, and were subsequently remanded to prison. The matter was adjourned to October 9, 2026.

The three were nabbed last Friday in the Tuschen New Housing Scheme when they attempted to rob a 42-year-old official of the Housing Ministry.

The man was returning to his house after taking out the garbage when he observed four masked men entering his year. He contacted the Police immediately and three of the men were nabbed during their escape bid, while the fourth man managed to escape.
