Tucville youth remanded over illegal gun and ammunition possession

20-year-old, Darrel Headley of TUCville was refused bail today and remanded after being charged for stealing his neighbour’s motorcycle and being in possession of an illegal gun and ammunition.

In Court today, the young man denied the allegations as he made his first Court appearance.

According to the Prosecution, on the 21st November at Aubrey Barker Road, the man was nabbed with a .32 pistol and matching rounds in his possession while not being the holder of a firearm license.

The weapon was reportedly found in the man’s crotch. However, he told the Court that the weapon was found in an area close to where he was but not on his person.

The Court also heard that on the 18th November at Perry Street Tucville, the youth stole a motorcycle valued at over $400,000 from his neighbour, Quincy Hinds.

The accused pleaded with the Magistrate to grant him bail but his pleas were denied and he was remanded to jail because of the seriousness of the charge.
