Agents of the Customs Anti Narcotics Unit arrested two persons today after finding 17.1 pounds of cocaine in their possession.

While not releasing details of the cocaine bust, CANU explained that the cocaine was found during an operation at Tuschen on the East Bank of Essequibo.

The $8 million worth of cocaine was found in several large large parcels. CANU said the two persons who were arrested will remain in custody as the investigations remain active.
