The Five persons who died following that smash up on the #59 village Public Road, Corentyne, have been identified.

They have been identified as immigration services consultant, Sabita Manglani and her sons Emanuel and Ethan, her secretary, Reshma Seeram and the driver of the car Dhanpaul Kishandayal.

The tragedy occurred as the driver of the car that the family was in, lost control and slammed head on into a rice truck that was traveling in the opposite direction. It is believed that a pothole may have played a role in the driver losing control of the Honda motorcar.

The impact sent both vehicles toppling, with the car being completely crushed. Bodies were torn apart and flung onto the roadway and fire fighters had to be called to the scene to cut apart the car to get the other bodies out.

The driver of the truck has been hospitalized with serious injuries.

An investigation has been launched and a number of eyewitnesses have provided statements to the Police.

The family members were reportedly heading to the popular #63 beach for a Sunday afternoon outing when tragedy struck.

The woman and her sons lived in the Bel Air area and she operated her immigration services business from the Miraj building, where her older son also worked.
