GuyExpo 2026 to further encourage and embrace business to business engagement

Guyana’s premier trade and exhibition show, GuyExpo is set to take place from November 12-15 at National Exhibition Centre under the theme, “Creating Tomorrow’s Opportunities Through Today’s Investments.”

It will bring together industry leaders and businesses, as they highlight their products and services along with the country’s economic growth and potential.

Speaking at the launch of GuyExpo 2026 last evening, Minister of Tourism, Industry and Commerce, Susan Rodrigues, said GuyExpo has been a platform for Guyana’s vast economic potential to be showcased, and has been a meeting place for manufacturers, agro- processors, service providers, consumers and investors.

She said this year, the focus will continue to be on business-to-business engagement and expansion of small and medium sized businesses.

“Last year we placed greater emphasis on business-to-business engagement and remains an important part of this expo. We want business to use this platform to meet potential customers, partners, investors and suppliers and to explore opportunities that can take them into new markets.  We are seeing the impact of investments across Guyana including in Tourism. In 2025, we welcomed a record 453, 489 visitors and that momentum has continued this year,” the Minister said.

Rodrigues said beyond GuyExpo, her Ministry will continue to focus on working with small businesses to expand their footprint.

“As a Ministry, we will continue working to strengthen the environment in which businesses operate and grow, through our agencies and programmes, we are supporting entrepreneurs with training, business development, standards, market access and other forms of assistance. Our objective is to see more Guyanese businesses growing, employing more people, producing more locally and becoming competitive in the regional and international markets,” the Minister said.

It was explained that this year’s event will provide exhibitors with opportunities to forge connections, identify new customers, develop partnerships and explore avenues for growth.

“Guyanese business must be ready to respond to these changes and to take advantage of the opportunities that are emerging, that is why I encourage our exhibitors to make the most of GuyExpo 2026. Come to make connections, find new customers, identify new partners and explore what your business has become,” the Minister urged.

Minister Rodrigues noted  that while GuyExpo is facilitated by the Government, its true strength lies in Private Sector participation, especially exhibitors, manufacturers, agro-processors, service providers and sponsors.
