The Customs Anti Narcotics Unit has announced the arrest of four persons following a massive drug bust at Parika on the East Bank Essequibo.
CANU ranks moved into the area on Sunday after receiving information about the movement of drugs. During the operation, CANU seized 154 pounds of cocaine.
Four suspects, including a hispanic man, were arrested by CANU and remains in custody. The agency believes the drug shipment may be linked to a number of other players involved in cocaine trafficking.
