Machel set to electrify National Stadium with Fast Wine at tonight’s Banks Country show

At age 42, he undisputed King of Soca, Machel Montano, is not letting up on his connection with the fans and his love for music.

Montano touched down in Guyana on Friday, ahead of tonight’s “Soca In My Heart” show and promised to give an electrifying performance.

His career in the music industry now spans over 30 years. He was just 9-year-old, when he caught the Caribbean’s attention with his first hit, “Too Young”.  Since then, Machel has grown into Mr. Fete and has been pleasing audiences all around the world.

He said the fans keep him going and will keep him coming back, noting that the Caribbean’s rich culture is something that he loves. He challenged Guyanese artistes to step forward and do more to showcase Guyana’s own culture.

Tonight’s show has been organized and promoted by Banks DIH Limited under its Banks Beer brand.

The organizers have indicated that the stage is set for the soca show that is expected to see thousands of fans flocking the National Stadium.

Montano will be accompanied on stage by his “Monk” band and several local acts, including Adrian Dutchin, Big Red, Kwasi Ace and Trevon Vybz.

With hits like “Mr. Fete”, “Like A Boss”, “Float” and “Party Done”, the soca star is expected to set the stage alight with non-stop vibes and pulsating rhythms.

Banks DIH Limited has indicated that no weapons will be allowed in the venue and all drinks will be served in plastic cups. Additionally no bottles or coolers will be allowed.

Machel Montano is considered the best-known soca star from the Caribbean.
