It took the Customs Anti Narcotics Unit weeks to track down the persons believed to be behind the over 700 pounds of cocaine that were discovered in lumber, but when the case got to the court today it only took a Magistrate a few minutes to grant bail to the two men charged in connection with one of the largest cocaine busts in Guyana’s history.
The two men Raymond Ousman Ghanny and Dominic Walsh appeared in Court this morning before Magistrate Alain Wilson and were each granted bail in the amount of $350,000. Investigators are said to upset by the bail amount and they have concerns of their own about whether the men charged will now even remain in Guyana.
