Police investigators are probing the death of two young people whose bodies were found late Thursday night in a car at Pearl on the East Bank of Demerara. The case is being treated as a murder/suicide case.

According to the police the bodies of 24-year-old Vijay Arjune of Land of Canaan and 19-year-old Parbattie Mangru of Soesdyke, were found in a motor vehicle on the public road at Pearl, EBD on Thursday night with suspected gunshot injuries. A firearm was recovered at the scene.

Relatives of the two young people were contacted by the police and are lending assistance to the probe.
