Off-duty cop among two dead in Linden Highway crash

The driver reportedly tried to pull his vehicle back to the side of the road but that failed, resulting in the left side of the car slamming into the truck. 

Off-duty cop among two dead in Linden Highway crash

Two young men, including an off-duty Police Officer, were killed in an early morning accident along the Linden Soesdyke Highway today.

The dead Policeman has been identified as Teon Hope. The other dead man is still to be identified.

The driver of the car that was transporting the two men, managed to survive and he is assisting with the investigations.

It is suspected that the three were heading back to Georgetown when an attempt to overtake wood-laden truck failed.

Police investigators are on the scene of the crash at Loo Creek. It is believed that the accident occurred just after 7 o’ clock this morning.

The Linden Town Week activities wrapped up in the community early this morning with an international concert.
