A 32-year-old supervisor at the Beharry Manufacturing company died on Tuesday afternoon in a freak accident at his workplace.

According to a Police report, supervisor Mark Gomes was at work around 5:50pm on Tuesday supervising the transfer of flour from a pressure tank that was mounted on a truck to a storage container.

During the transfer, the pressure tank started to make a whistling sound. In an effort to investigate the sound, Gomes climbed onto the back of the truck and while he was inspecting the transfer hose, it became loose and he was hit by the pressurized air which blew him to the ground.

The man hit his head and went into an unconscious state. He was rushed to the Woodlands Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
