A 36-year-old Festival City labourer was stabbed to death this morning in the Tucville area, and investigators have arrested a 42-year-old woman and her son.
Investigators have identified the dead man as Amaziah Hoenkirk.
According to a statement from the Police, the Festival City man got into a row on Thursday night with the 42-year-old woman, Alicia Edmonson and one of her sons, over some damages to a speaker system belonging to the woman’s son.
The argument reportedly spilled over into this morning in the Tucville area and during another confrontation between the woman and the labourer, she reportedly armed herself with a knife and stabbed the man to the abdomen and to his two hands.
The injured Amaziah Hoenkirk, was rushed to the Georgetown Hospital where he died while being treated for the stab wounds.
Police investigators later arrested the woman and her son. Charges are likely in the new week.
