Police investigators have arrested a 60-year -old Prashad Nagar man after more than fifty two (52) pounds of compressed marijuana was found in his house.
According to a Police statement, Police ranks, acting on information received, went to the suspect’s house and conducted a search, during which thirteen (13) taped parcels of the illegal substance with a weight of 24Kg were found.
He was immediately taken into custody.
The Prashad Nagar man’s arrest came just hours after 46-year-old taxi drover in Bartica was found with 30 pounds of compressed marijuana.
The man who was arrested on Friday night during a Police operation, had been on the police radar for months.
The compressed marijuana was found in several tapped parcels and and some small packets of marijuana were found hidden under a sofa.
