A 17-year-old young man from Tucville was today charged and remanded to the Juvenile Detention Centre for the murder of GDF soldier, 18-year-old Olijay Chesney.
Chesney’s body was found with two bullet wounds in a clump of bushes in Tucville Squatting area on the 14th October.
The assailant was arrested and charged following the questioning of several persons in the area.

The murder case came up for hearing this morning in the Juvenile Court and the accused was not required to enter a plea to the indictable murder charge.
He will remain in detention until his next Court hearing on the 18th November.
Because the accused is below the age of 18 and the matter is in Juvenile Court, his name and identity cannot be revealed in keeping with the law.
