Two men die after stabbing in Water Street

Two Berbice men died from stab wounds this morning in the Water Street area after allegedly confronting and attacking another man.

The dead men have been identified as 23-year-old Junior Brown and 35-year-old Tyron Captain. The circumstances that led to the deadly confrontation remain unclear. However, according to reports, the two men were armed with a broken bottle and a knife when they confronted a man, who appeared to be on his way to work.

During the confrontation, both Brown and Captain ended up sustaining multiple stab wounds about their bodies. The two men attempted to run from the area, but one of them collapsed and died on the spot, while the other was rushed to the hospital and has since passed away.

The suspect who was the target of the men’s attack, has since been arrested and is assisting with the investigations.

Vendors and other persons who were in the area were taken aback by the confrontation and its bloody end, explaining that everything happened within minutes.
