Agents of the Customs Anti Narcotics Unit have arrested yet another woman during her bid to ferry cocaine out of Guyana.
The 44-year-old Guyanese woman was an outgoing passenger to New York city when CANU agents found over 20 pounds of cocaine concealed in the false sides of her suitcases.
She was immediately arrested and taken in to the custody of CANU, where she is still being grilled. The woman is a holder of a U.S visitors visa.
It is unclear whether this was her first trip to the United States.
Agents are hoping that the woman will provide them with evidence that could lead to the arrest of other persons who may have been a part of the effort to get the cocaine out.
Investigations are ongoing.
