Ramnaresh Sarwan enters the fitness business world with new gym complex

West Indies and Guyanese star cricketer Ramnaresh Sarwan has said his greatest goal is to play one last game for Guyana before he resigns, even as he’s set to embark on his first business venture.

He is hoping to garner the same support he received from the Guyanese public throughout his cricket career as he treads virgin territory.

At age 35, Sarwan will be opening a modern gym complex at New Providence, East Bank Demerara to cater for both professional sportsmen/women and ordinary health conscious Guyanese.

On Saturday, the sportsman was putting the final touches to the spanking new facility ahead of a grand opening set for Monday January 11.

The gym, Fitness53,  is equipped with modern gym equipment and a sauna. It also offers its members aerobics and spin classes.

Mr. Sarwan said the people will have to judge the standard of the gym for themselves. It will be opened from Mondays to Saturdays from 5am to 10pm for a monthly fee of $5,500.

Several trainers have also been hired to boost the services offered.
