A 46-year-old Guyanese man is in the custody of the Customs Anti Narcotics Unit after he was busted at the Cheddi Jagan International Airport on Saturday morning with a quantity of cocaine.
The man was an outgoing passenger on a New York bound, Caribbean Airlines flight, when the CANU agents found the nine pounds of cocaine in the false sides of his suitcases. He was immediately arrested and placed in custody.
He is expected in court early in the new week.
