Customs Officer arrested over stabbing of wife in Linden

A 44-year-old Customs Officer from Linden has been arrested by the Police after he attacked and stabbed his wife during an argument.

The Customs Officer, whose name has not been released, reportedly drove his wife to the Bucktown creek in Linden on Sunday afternoon and the two got into an argument.

A police report explained that during the argument, the wife exited the car when it came to a stop, but the husband reportedly went to the trunk of the car and pulled out a knife while ordering the wife to return to the vehicle.

The woman complied and when the man returned to the car, he attacked his wife, stabbing her to the chest, her lower right foot, and to one of her hands. He escaped from the scene and the wife managed to call relatives who rushed to the area and took her to the hospital where she remains in a serious condition.

The suspect has since been arrested and is likely to face charges this week.
