Two held in Hadfield Street with quantity of cocaine

Acting on information received, the Customs Anti Narcotics Unit carried out an operation on Hadfield Street in Georgetown on Monday, leading to the arrests of two men after a quantity of cocaine was discovered allegedly in their possession.

CANU said the operation led to a house where the 1.172 kilograms of cocaine was discovered. The two men who were arrested have been identified as Carlos Garraway and Clarence Jones.

Both were taken to CANU headquarters and told of the charges to be filed against them. They are expected in Court soon.

CANU has been leading a number of operations in various communities, targeting drug pushers and traffickers. The operations have led to the arrest of several persons who have made Court appearances.

CANU has also been working with its local and international partners in the investigation of a number of other larger drug bust incidents.
