Woman dies one month after speeding sandtruck slammed into her car

Almost one month after a speeding sand truck slammed into her car, 30-year-old Temeca Kerr passed away at the Georgetown Hospital this morning without ever regaining consciousness.

The accident occurred on the 25th February. Kerr was driving her car Camp Street when a speeding sand truck slammed into the car as she was attempting to turn onto Brickdam. The driver of the truck never stopped, and kept speeding along the roadway. However, he was eventually arrested and questioned about the accident. He is expected to face charges soon.

Kerr and two of her friends were rushed to the hospital in critical condition. While one of the friends was eventually discharged, Kerr and one of her close friends, Natoya Campbell remaind hospitalised in an unconscious state.

Kerr never regained consciousness, while Campbell has been showing slow signs of improvements and has regained some consciousness.

Family members of the dead 30-year-old were hoping for a full recovery, but Doctors explained the seriousness of her injuries, including brain injuries, and the reality that they must face.
